i have made compost always outside i alwas added ferterlizer lime and would dig up earth worm from another site and add them to the compost pile they hellp turn the compost add them when the heat backs off or they will die if they do just add as needed. later pure light!

all questions need an answer: here goes,for bamboo to grow these things are basic:the sun,photosynthsis,water,dna. code, evolution,niturents in the soil,not too cold or hot,not too wet.luck and faith.later, pure light!

many of you of course know of what i just learned in the last 6months or so.it is a great sourse,along with this great forum here-i speak of u-tube.they show short videos on many subjects if you think of a question they ha video on it.clean a fish,sharpen a chain saw etc. etc.also how to build a bam...

i live in eastern north carolina i am northeast of wilimington n.c. that part of the state is a prime area for the fly trap and the pitcher plant also a insect eater. i also lived in pensacola fla. both types of plants lived there also. urban sprawl has reduced there range making them very rare over...

what can i expect come spring?
one month ago i transplanted 3 large bam. root balls 24'' or so. 2 of the plants have the culms and 45'ft up to the canopy one has the root ball and the culm cut off at 6'' inches up so no canopy or leaves. i lieve in eastern north carolina. growing zone 8.marine type weather close to atlantic ocean...
