Hi I have 3 Phyllostachys Viridglaucescen bamboo which I planted 3 years ago to give me a screen at the bottom of the garden. I have left them untouched apart from watering them to allow them to settle and establish but I think its time to prune them to hopefully improve growth and appearance, is it...

Dividing phyllostachys viridglaucescens bamboo

Hi I have 3 phyllostachys viridglaucescens bamboo plants which are around 3 years old, they are forming a screen and range between 4 and 7 feet high. There is a gap between 2 of them and want to divide one of the larger bamboo to fill the gap. How's and when it's the best time to do this? Thanks in ...

Thanks for the reply, so you would say the cover from the sun by the weeping willow is a significant effect on the difference in growth between the 3 bamboo plants

Hi I planted 3 Phyllostachys viridglaucescens in August 2012 for a screen at the bottom of our garden. They were approximately 2ft in height when I planted them.
