It does look similar to the sinobambusa t. albostriata. My book mentions it spreads vigorously.
Mine is a clumper. That's what I am going to call it for now. Thanks again.

I bought this over a year ago. They said it was a Sasa. My books say Sasa has a single branch per node. This had three. It does have hairs at most leaves. I bought this as a Bambusa Lako about 10 years ago. It is a clumping bamboo, hairy sheaths, leaves are 5 inch by little over 1/2 wide. The culms are a goldish/green color about 1 inch. The 10 foot high in the sky stem is last years cane. Still green. Looks a mess.... I don't think it's a black bamboo

I've had this variegated bamboo for years. One culm is 8 foot tall, they are yellow/gold in color.
Leaves average 4-6 inches long and 1/2 to 3/4 wide. Grows like a clumping bamboo.
