What is the 2nd most rewarding plant?

I haven't been to visit my cottage since August. I am going this weekend. I can't wait to catch up with my plants. I'll update the forum with a bunch of pics of bamboo and others (Gunnera included).

I would love a piece of the murielae and I'll reserve two of the Sasa if I could.

Rufa on sale at Canadian Tire

Home depot had their rufas on sale for 5 bucks as did Sobey's. I wouldn't jump at $20, that was suggested retail at the locations mentioned above. It Sizes up well in New Brunswick (zone 4b) and PEI (zone 5a). It shoots all year when juvenile and after a couple years really starts to grow wide. Make...

Based off of Brad's observations on harbin I passed on it. I did plant harbin inversa and it overwintered as well as any aureosulcata. My observations of harbin inversa are based off of one winter only. Here's a pic before it started leafing out. I need to get an updated pic. http://img.tapatalk.com...

Another i.d. problem and stunning growth in NS

I don't make it to Halifax very often. I would make a trip if there was bamboo to see. The only time I really travel to NS is to browse the nurseries once every Spring or Summer. That usually involves renting a trailer or borrowing a truck and making the trip worthwhile. I'm impressed with your bamb...

Another i.d. problem and stunning growth in NS

I have two nuda plants. One is very small and struggles through winter with protection. It defoliates and sometimes part of the culm dies. The second plant was larger to start with and came through last winter under a plastic tarp looking good. However, aurea came though last winter under plastic lo...

Aureocaulis for sure. The pink culms and random striping on the leaves settles it. It's no less hardy than the others in the aureosulcata clan in PEI. It has maintained a lot of green leaves with no protection even as a juvenile plant. http://img.tapatalk.com/8ea7cb68-e731-f30d.jpg http://img.tapata...
