These castor plants are nice in the bamboo landscape but mine get so large they flop over, this one is probably 8 feet tall before laying down.

I've been driving a bamboo pole into the ground next to mine and using a piece of wire to hold the plants upright.

Last year mine were dwarf. I got less than a dozen seed pods between the two plants and most of those had nonviable seed in them. This year looks like I am going to have lots of seed pods. I understand the seeds can be used to make jewelry, perhaps combined with bamboo beads.

I don't know how you guys grow plants like boo in your climates, much less Castor! I'd get sick of them all freezing off every winter!
I had a Castor plant at the front of the house last year over 12-15' tall. It never flopped over, but at that size, it was kinda ugly, so I replaced it with a black boo. It did produce hundreds of beans, though. A few I missed even sprouted this spring around the old plant's location. They've been relocated to other parts of the yard now.
The beans are also deadly. One of the most deadly poisons on the planet is inside the Castor bean.
Castor is pretty, though.

In our climate Castors have to be treated as annuals. Then again, they might start surviving the winter in a few years. I did have Wandering Jew survive last year, which was unexpected.
There are a lot of poisonous plants out there that are just as poisonous as Castor, for instance, Rosary Pea is list as more poisonous.

Two years ago a person near here was arrested for growing Castor.
It was shown that he had looked up on the Internet how to make ricin so they accused him of trying to kill his wife. His wife defended him but that did not make any difference.

Yeah, it is very easy to get in trouble on the Internet, do a web search, visit the wrong web page by accident and things go horrible wrong! 
A friend, who does leather working, did a web search on leather once and the sites she found really freaked her.
On a more serious note, there are websites that try and download software to your computer to take it over and use it for distributing things like child porn. To many innocent people have been hurt by this.

God help the fool that tries suicide with it. It's a 3-5 day, painful ordeal of major organ shutdown. And, there's no antidote.
There was a murder years ago of some big government leader....forget where and who...
He was shot with a pellet containing ricin from an air prowered umbrella gun. Took him some 4 days do go. Murder isn't nice, but Ricin is downright RUDE!!!

Does sound quite bad, but you die. We've all been sick and some of us have had minor and major illnesses, but we keep living and await the next illness that downs us.It's a 3-5 day, painful ordeal of major organ shutdown.
