Cheap Boo

Post by ocimum_nate »

I was at my local Lowe's and saw Fargesia rufa, and Himalaycalamus falconeri in one gallon pots for $10.00. I already have 2 rufas and the other one isn't even hardy to my area or I would have bought some. Wish they would have had something that I didn't already have or something hardy to my area.

buy'em and trade 'em...I'd say it's a low risk proposition for you if you can spare the cash briefly while you 'do the deals'.

I would like to have a Fargesia rufa and $10 dollars isn't a bad price. What sort of bamboo would you trade for?

Anybody got Fargesia robusta, or any other type of clumper that they might be interested in trading? Same terms as Booman.

I went to another Lowe's closer to where I work last Friday and picked up a one gallon pot of Sasa veitchii with a Booshoot tag on it for $5.00. The plants didn't look as good as the Fargesia rufa I picked up in August. but they looked pretty good for 5.00 anyhow.

Before the bamboo came in this year when I would inquire about it. The associates would say yes we have it and when I said I couldn't see it they would walk me to the lucky bamboo display. Perhaps this is part of the reason that I tease lucky bamboo enthusiasts.

Sure, Mr. Foley, go on blaming your actions on everyone else.

Nothing like some good cheap boo, problem is when you run out of room to grow all of your boo.
