Primontina shoot with dimpling. This is the first year I noticed the dimples. They are on all of the bigger shoots, and become more pronounced as the shoot elongates. Seems this would make ID easier.

David, mine from you looks similar and a shoot about 6' tall right now has extremely short internodes after looking like that.

Just curious as I've read about it before, but is P. Aureosulcata 'Argus' available in the U.S.?

I am not sure if it’s available in US but it also goes by the name Phyllostachys aureosulcata flavostriata
