 Post subject: Chusquea gigantea

It looks like my chusquea gigantea is about to flower. I’m quite distressed as this is one of my favourite plants. Just wondering if this is happening to anyone else’s?

Must be the same clone in the UK?
Hope we get some answers.

It will be a shame to lose this.
Is one of my fave bamboos. And a sizeable clump.

Location: plus 700ft in the Santa Cruz Mtns, 8 miles from the Pacific 35 miles S. of San Jose
No sign of flowering in N. California. I have two groves, one old and one new recently transplanted. Both are producing new shoots in volume. RGds

My friend has it flowering but mine is not
