The fertilizer was a full spectrum version of 20-20-20 in a slow release form. Yes, there was a bit of copper in it too. The bamboo was watered during the dark cycle, and the leaves were misted. The lamps were 4 ft above the plants as to not give them UV radiation burns. The wattage of my bulb was 1000W HO version MH.

UV triggers the oxidation of the Tyrosine which inturn causes the black to occur. This can happen rapidly or gradually depending pn the nutrition availible. Yes, copper is nessesary to being the oxidation of tyrosine into melanin.

1000W MH lamp costs a tonne of Kw/hrs per month.. I don't do this anymore because it got WAY too expensive.

CJW: I may try adding a fertilizer with copper and misting my black bamboo next year to see if that speeds up the color change.

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.
