used some spare white irrigation line to water a culm of chungii im trying to propagate and every day the squirrels chew a new hole in it. they dont seem to bother the colors.(tan black or green)a 20 foot hose shouldnt have six splices in it.
i could swap the white for some tan or...,
break out the pellet gun,
hook up my electric fence,(averages one kill a day)
and plant all the new boos i buy over a trio of squirrel carcasses.
native americans did it that way except their squirrels were fish.(and their bamboo was probably corn squash and beans){not sure about the color of their irrigation lines}
is a squirrel with a lead pellet in it still organic?
oh, yeah. wild grape vines grrrrrrrr! probably planted by squirrels.

Hmmm what is the kindest way to deal with a squirrel.

Upgrade the hose to steel pipe. lol

All of the other ways I would find very amusing I will refrain from mentioning.

You know if you kill one in self defense no one can say a word.

Just remember to yell "It's coming right at me!" before you shoot it and then it's self-defense.

You must have a good pellet gun. Mine will only take out avg sized birds or make squirrels jump around with a good shot, but not enough to kill it. Squirrels like to dig up my moso plants, and have nibbled on my fargesia shoots so I'd really like to find a better way to get rid of them.
