I moved this Bashania fargesii from a spot that got part shade in the morning then full afternoon sun from 2 PM on, to a spot that gets full sun until 1PM, then shade. Is it sunburn, heat-related, or is it something more worrying?
Is there something I should do about it, or just let these leaves fry and wait for replacements?
Is this sunburn?

Alan,
I'm almost certain that is sunburn. Notice how one of the sunburned leaves shades another leaf that has damage in the shape of the opening between the leaves. The other leaves on the plant look healthy.

Ah, I didn't notice that! So do I move the plant somewhere else? Can Bashania not take it, or was it just too abrupt of a move to the sun? I kept this in full sun on the driveway last year and didn't notice this, so maybe it was just too quick of a change.
Should I move it now, or is it too late? I'd like those burned leaves to fall off, but don't want every leaf to fry.

Put it where you want it and it will adjust.

...by turning brown.
Thanks Brad -- that was my thinking too.

I don't bother to harden off my bamboo in the spring, they'll bleach a few leaves like that but adjust very quickly.
EDIT - I am talking exclusively about species that can take full hot sun here. This week I had to move a pot of Sasa and a pot of Chimonobambusa that were beginning to faint.
