Duplicate Listing

Post by foxd »

While looking up something on the database I found this duplicate listing:

Sasaella
masamuneana 'Aureostriata' . 6.00 0.25 0 3 It starts out with totally green leaves and over the course of the summer it begins to develop intense golden stripes . Sources Picture
No Data
Runner

Sasaella
masamuneana 'Aureostriata' . 6.00 U U U Bright Yellow stripes of varying width appear in late spring. . Sources No Pics
No Data
Runner
Southern Indiana.
My Bamboo List.

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.

There are two listings of Sasaella masamuneana 'Aureostriata' in the database, but only one has pictures. One has more detailed information than the other, but the plant descriptions amount to describing the same plant. I would suggest deleting the less informative listing.

I only noticed this because I was looking up information on Sasaella masamuneana 'Albostriata' and noticed the duplicated, red listing following it.

Maybe we are looking in 2 different databases, but this is what I see. 2 different bamboos with very similar names. I'm looking in the image gallery.

Sasaella masamuneana 'Albostriata'

Sasaella masamuneana 'Aureostriata'

I think this is my picture, I may have another on my website? The plant was ravaged by voles and now is much smaller  Therefore no more pictures for a while from me. The description that says it starts out green and slowly develops the gold stripes is correct.

I am still trying to straiten out the duplicates caused by the new species added to the species list that were never approved so they were never documented but were in the updated database that I received.

If you spot any more please tell me.
