Bill -- in another post you mentioned the WSU research groves. Do you know what other sorts of studies they've done? Do you know how they choose studies? I wonder if we could submit some topics for them to consider studying... what questions would we like to have answered?

I know one that would be interesting is "does fertilizing in the spring lead to a larger number of smaller shoots?".

What other questions would be good to have answered by a university research program?

A recent issue of the ABS magazine Bamboo, - which, um, goes to members of ABS - had an article with info on their research.
