Any talk of a spring ABS auction?

If so I need to divide now, so the plants are ready for the auction.

I was thinking about the spring auction today, and was surprised to see that there was not a reply to this post. I was sure there was one before (reading too many old posts I guess).

So, will there be an auction this spring?

I am busy this spring so after the first post I asked the rest of the ABS board if we wanted a spring auction and if we did I could do the web stuff but I would need some help especially getting donations.

I received three replies that wanted an auction but could not help so we will not have one this year.

On a better note we have started work on the Fall Auction so the information on that should be coming out soon.

Bill,

is it too late to put one togeather? I cant remember if there was one last year, but it seems there was. I also cant remember the date....

oldtimers I guess.....

anyway, if there were an auction in late april or may, that would give time to solicit dontations, and get things organizes. Im sure the ABS could use the funds.

what would it entail- Mass email to ABS members seeing if anyone had anything to donate? answering emails, compile the list, upload photos? I could get most of the groundwork done if needed, or do you have to be an ABS bored member ( ) to do it?

It is not to late to put one together for May. It is to late to advertize one in the April Issue of BAMBOO but we now have the ability to send out mass emails to ABS members.

I will email you some information this weekend explaining what is involved.

What does everyone else think of having a Spring auction?

I'm guessing there isn't much interest in it since it was more than a month before anyone replied to my original post.

If there does happen to be a spring auction you can put me down for donating a Bambusa multiplex 'Midori Green'
