The 2017 ABS conference has moved to San Francisco

Post by bambooweb »

The conference was planned for Puerto Rico but the hurricanes put a stop to that.
Here is the new announcement.

San Francisco, here we come!
Where: SF County Garden Room at Golden Gate Park
When:
Wed, Nov 1: ABS Board meeting, 9-5 with lunch break (across the street most likely - good Asian Fusion place).

Thu, Nov 2: Presentations, then ABS Membership annual meeting, then lunch (there are many options), then more presentations. Opportunity to see the bamboos at the SF Botanical Garden (admission fee). Stay tuned -- most speakers are the same as we arranged for Puerto Rico.

Fri, Nov 3: Travel to Sonoma County, visit West County Oasis Bamboo Nursery (Jesus Mora) near Santa Rosa, lunch nearby, then visit Bamboo Sourcery (Jennifer York) in Sebastopol where a live auction of rare bamboos will be held.

Saturday and Sunday are wide open -- nothing planned but plenty of options.

MORE DETAILS TO COME

I will try to keep this updated as things are changing fast.
