Do I have prime plants or what? :D

In less than 2 months from being divided from its mother, your new plant is doing well. Must like its new home.

One of these days I'm going to have to bring my camera to your place and have a photo session. I think you must have a larger variety of bamboo plants than anyone on the SunCoast of Florida.

I do have quite the collection going, however, the problem is that I'm out of room to plant any more!

I still have at least 30 varieties still in their original pots, mostly 3g pots and a few in larger pots. There are around 60 or so in the ground but they're either to close together or in way to much shade for the particular species.

I have a huge oak and a huge jacaranda not to mention the southern magnolia and the 2 pecan trees making a lot of shade!

Land around here is just ridiculously priced so I'm looking further south below the Sunshine Skyway. You gotta do what you gotta do, if ya know what I mean!

I'll pm you with my #. I'm rarely home through the week but weekends are usually wide open. Call anytime!

OK. I'll check my message box.

Just noticed that my B. textilis (My Miami seedling from the late 1980's) looks to have started pushing up shoots.

D. Strictus seedlings finally put up a shoot.

My unknown (possibly makinoi or iredescens) has put up 8 shoots on the last week. The division in still too young to get a positive ID on it. Taken 1 mo. ago.

Still waiting on Moso seedlings, Lako (?),seedlings, and D. Giganteus (?) seedlings.

Wow! Walked out to look at my boos this morning and what do I see? My Bambusa textilis 'Kanapaha' is just starting to push up one new shoot and my Bambusa textilis 'Mutabilis' is just starting to push up 2 new shoots. What a co-ink-a-dinky!

Finally Dolly Silver Stripe popped one. This drought has sure slowed shooting down. That leaves My Painted and one Oldhammi.

New Bambusa pervariabilis 'Viridistriatus' coming up today. Doesn't look to be much larger than the other culms, but here's hoping.

Phyllostachys parvifolia has started a second round of shoots. A very pleasant surprise! :D

While not a new shoot, the Melocanna baccifera is now putting out its first branch. YAY!

I noticed a new Bambusa glaucophylla shoot coming up this evening. Hopefully, I will get more than one new shoot.
