Better late than never. The Fargesia nitida is finally starting to put up shoots. Still waiting on three of the Phyllostachys.

I think I'd stop waiting, my guess is they will skip it this year.

I say this for foxd only because he lives near me and I think that the drought last summer is keeping the bamboo from shooting this year. In some areas the spring has been cooler and shoots for some people are just later than normal but that is not the situation where foxd & I live - you may still gets shoots.

This is my first shooting season because I planted all my Phyllostachys last summer. Here is an update on some shooting times in Prince Edward Island, Canada (Zone 5b).
Fargesia rufa - April. 30
Thamnocalamus crassinodus - May 21
Phyllostachys atrovaginata - May 21
Phyllostachys rubromarginata - May 21
Pleioblastus viridistriatus - May 21
Phyllostachys aureosulcata alata - May 28
Phyllostachys aureosulcata spectabilis - May 28
Phyllostachys bissetii - June 5
Fargesia denudata - June 5
Phyllostachys nuda - June 5
still no signs of shoots from aureocaulis?

Hey Brad....
Just looking over your sig line, and noticed your in Indiana...
Do they not use standard measurements up that aways
You've got your locale temps measured in celcius, along with something else in metric...
Then your elevation is done in standard ft...

What're your average temps up there in Farenheit
