I came across a 25 foot culm of weavers textillis.I cut about 8 foot off bottom that had no leaves, the rest I cut into approxamitly 4 foot pieces and planted them horizontally in 70 percent shade.I know thew are not supposed to sprout this way with the textillis but I had good luck this way with textillis kanapaha last year.My question is what do I do with the bottom third 2" across with no buds or leaves.

Perhaps a walking stick? Or just hang on to it in case you ever need an 8 foot pole.

If you had some more poles you could make some furniture. Or a trellis.
