I've read that in the south, sometimes bissetii can reach a max height of 40'+. Does anyone have any knowledge of how big of culm diameter it has when it reaches such a height. I see the species table lists max height at 40' and culm diameter 2".
Yes, I know bissetii won't be jack-in-the-beanstalk here. I'm just curious about this Boo:fact or fiction.

These look like they have pretty good sized culms and are growing in Corvallis, OR.

RE: Boowars: Attack of the bissetii clones
The ABS Species list was changed to reflect a grove near Adam Turtles that was the legit 40 feet by 2 inches. As I recall it is not on Adams place, but nearby, I've seen the grove but not the culm he measured. His Bissetii is close to 2 inches by 30+feet and does not look like Bissetii at that size. I believe my clone came from the big grove of it. As I recall he told me that it stalled out at around 20 feet after 10 years and he kept feeding and watering it and there was an increase in culm size a few years later to the 30+ now.
