Chusquea gigantea shooting yet?

Anyone growing this have any new shoots yet or when they usually start shooting in relation to any other bamboo?

The shoots on mine are 3 feet high so far. For me, it shoots after moso, about the same time as Phyllostachys elegans, and slightly earlier than C. culeou or P. nigra.

This is a strange one here, will shoot sometimes all year round, whenever the temp is above 10c or so and below 25c. I've three plants here and one looks to be producing what looks like a near 2 inch culm :shock: , which will be a good size up from last year.It's only about 2 inches out of the ground but it looks chunky.
