This was 1 gallon plant I bought 13 Months ago. It was in a garage with no windows and no light this winter but faired much better than any of my faregesia in the ground or nigra in an isulated pot.
I think a reasonable size up but I have nothing to compare it to.
Love the yellow and green stripes, and showing some spectabulation(that's a technical horticulture term for color) .
9 new shoots. Does this look too crowed for a 10 gallon pot? How do I know when I have to upsize?

Any bamboo that survives my care is "Lucky Bamboo"
The green color of my "black" bamboo contrasts beautifully with the green color of my "red" japanese maple
