It seems to be a "Go Green" no-brainer, but is there a market to sell to yet in the U.S.?

Although they are utilizing Moso as their primary crop because of climate, it would seem to me a clumping bamboo would be more easily harvested with machinery within uniformed rows.
Is there anyone out there toying with the idea of producing Bio-Mass derived from Bamboo?
Can Bamboo replace Loblolly pines and cotton?
