Sleeping creeping Henon

I dug a division on henon in February and planted it in my pasture.It lost it's leaves and then re-leafed and looked fine but no new shoots.I was wondering what was going on.I have it in a 8' x8' fenced in area.I decided to dig a trench around it today and found 2 escapee's about 4-5 feet from the plant.I guess it is creeping underground setting up it's root system before it shoots.I have been putting off digging the trench because the boo was not doing anything.I am glad I dug before it took over.I have a couple of pics but I don't know how to post them.
