D minor 'Amoenus' upsize + friends

Not the same plant but representative of the size, this D minor 'Amoenus' was a late 2018 mail order, you can see the 2 original pruned culms if you look closely.

I have MANY running forms going well but I think I might pull them all over the coming months now that I understand the clumping forms I can grow here a bit better, my B oldhamii is producing > 3" shoots less than 2 years in the ground though I did container grow it up first.

Yeah, my climate zone is a hoot for plants I have bananas ripening on 3 different type bananas in northern CA and I did not expect that, one of my aloe is already taller than I am.

These sub-tropical clumpers are different for sure, they size up much faster, the shoots are much slower to elongate, the branches way slower to sub branch and leaf out. I have 3 gallon mail order size plants producing right at 2" culms in about 15-18 months, no runner ever sized up that fast for me. I recall Roy Rogers saying he liked the clumpers better and I get that.
