Whole Culm Burial for Running Bamboo? East Texas

I have 4 acres that I am basically trying to create a privacy hedge on. I have been working with cypress trees for the past 3 years and last year lost 20% of them. Done with it and moving to bamboo. Both for visual, protection, fencing, etc. This means a lot of bamboo. Here in East Texas there seems to be a common type that grows and spreads well here. It is short at 10' or so, fairly small diameter, and is quite dense.... impossible to walk through. I tried to attach some pics but am having trouble with attaching.
I have been driving myself mad with reading on bamboo propagation. I almost pulled the trigger on some culm cuttings until I read that this is for clumping bamboo. But then I read something about whole culm burial which seems right up my ally since I am planting along 1,500 feet of fence line. However, there is very little info that I can find on doing this.
Any help regarding propagation, especially with the whole culm burial would be appreciated. Like I said, it seems to grow wild here so there are several places I have access to for cuttings.
