Any ideas?

I wish I had gotten pictures of the mother clump... didn't think about it. The owner did not know what it was and just wanted it gone. I put the stump and root ball in the ground and also did some cuttings and its doing well.

Looks like B. ventricosa, especially with the slightly enlarged culm near the node, and the white band as well. The leaves seem to be about the same size for its age, although I could be wrong. I guess we will have to wait for someone with a bit more experience.

That was my guess. I compared the leaves from my small B. ventricosa and they are extremely similar.
