p. Aurea with a yellow stripe

Full shot of plant-

Pic isnt so good... but you can see the yellow contrast on the deep green culm- several culms...randomly shaded with yellow.

Am I miss identifying this as P. Aurea?

You might want to look at some pictures of Phyllostachys aureosulcata "Yellow Grove"
Southern Indiana.

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.

if it is slick , it's not a aureosulcata

Aurea has a slight swelling below the node, there's none on your plant so I'd suggest it's not an aurea
Bamboo...Please note... This plant is seriously addictive and you may lose interest in other, less rewarding plants!

This bamboo is very rare in the US so more likely it is Aureosulcata.

I understand your point of view but it seems that the culms are slick ,

on the smaller culms, its a tossup, sometimes I can feel a bit of texture, other times, they feel slick. one thing that seems to be a hallmark of the Aureasulcata forms is the swelling right above the sheath scar- where the node actually is. it kind of disks out from the culm. I dont think that P. a. Lueosulcata has that disk, but since I dont grow that one ( ) I can say for sure.....
