bamboos in berm

Post by dependable »

Bamboo berm description with an ID question. Ok here is a privacy berm I installed 2 years ago out of compost, fill and bamboo from other parts of yard. Notice how original plants are in the bottom of trough for ease of watering. rain or otherwise. Some extra fill is on front of berm from snow plow, but it does not seem to bother the shoots.

I am pretty sure the greenish ones are bissete. Could the browner ones be P decora? I think that is what I bought them as. This berm is made of a mix of runners from other parts of yard, If the goal is isolation, it is good to mix species so a flowering event will not leave you with out a screan.
