There is not anything to even base a guess on, the shoot will be very important.

Since I have no basis for guessing, I'm going to guess a Chusquea.
Southern Indiana.
My Bamboo List.

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.

How many areas in India do you think have a climate conducive to Chusquea, to the extent of having them sent there?

Good point, I hadn't realized this was in India. Now I have a basis for random guesses. Melocanna!

It is probably not rare but very very few people here in the US can grow tropical forms of bamboo so we don't have any familiarity with yours thus the no replies. Post a photo of a temperate running form and you'll get plenty of replies!

well can you make an educated guess on the fact that it didnt thrive in alot of sun light/// and close spacing of the new shoot so maybe its a clumper/// size of the leaves ?

I can't even make an uneducated guess as to what genus it is - maybe a form of dendrocalamus?
