Newbie needs a quick bamboo ID, please!

Post by Wambat »

Hello! Can someone identify this type of bamboo? It is exactly what I am looking for. It seems to grow straight and tall, nice color, clean and neat looking. It is located in North Florida and seems to be doing well. Is it possibly Alphonse Karr or Graceful?

Thank you!!

Close up of culm (cane) and of new shoots would help a lot with ID. Almost looks like a clumping bamboo to me.

A. Karr does not grow that strait. More like one of the Textilis forms.
