In SF California, I had it for over 3 years in my backyard from it spreading from a neighbor. I like how it looks and was wondering if i can dig it up and put it in a pot to use as a houseplant. It seems to be a clumping bamboo since there are many other stalks surrounding it
I'd guess Yushania genus and discourage against keeping it as a houseplant. If it is indeed a temperate clumping bamboo it will have issues with your indoor climate, namely humidity and nighttime temps being too warm.
