Two bamboos from last spring

The first one is phyllosachys aureosulcata, or commonly called "yellow grove". If the culm is all green, with no yellow groove, then it is P aureosulcata 'Alata'.
Not sure about the second one. Perhaps a picture of mature culms would help with id. As for the leaf damage, lack of water during shooting usually results the whole culm aborting, so it is likely something else.

No yellow groove so it is P. aureosulcata Alata
Here's another picture of #2, if it helps, mature it looks like Phy. bisitti but I'm not positive on the ID, its in somebody's backyard along with Japanese Knotweed and Lesser Celandine.
