Hoping for input as to possible identification

Post by chaotic1 »

I have a beautiful bamboo which was sold to me as D. yunnanicus but I am quite sure it is definitely NOT. Culms are 3-4" diameter, dark green lightening as they age, nodes are banded white at top and brown on bottom. Culms have bluish bloom when new. Culm sheaths are tawny with very soft velvety hairs and leaf blade is reflexive. Shoots are tasty but need at least two boilings (not sweet like yunnanicus)
I tried to add two photos but couldn't figure out how to do it here. I think they were downloaded somewhere on the site though.

To upload pix first make sure they're not too large.

Go to the section shown below by pressing Reply under the topic to which you wish to respond.

Click choose file from a location on your computer.

Click add file. Wait till it uploads; it will not upload if too large.

Then click the lower Submit.

That will submit both text and pix.

Be aware you if you want to upload more than one pic upload them in the reverse order you want them to appear. Haven't figured out how to change that.
