Semiarundinaria yashadake 'Kimmei'
Bamboo...Please note... This plant is seriously addictive and you may lose interest in other, less rewarding plants!

Very interesting Mark and looking closer it has 3-4 branches which fits semarundinaria,it has the Phyllostachys grove which through me but it seems semarundinaria is a cross of Phyllostachys and pleioblastus so would have Phyllostachys characteristics ,would you say it's a definite ID or just a thought ?

I agree, I bought one out here labelled as Spectabilis - I told the vendor but she really didn't want to believe me.

They never do ,but sometimes you can get your self a bargain,I was big in to marine fish and corals and picked up myself a rare trigger fish worth about £700 wrongly labelled and up for £45 ,as you can imagine it did not take me long to buy that fish
