I'm pretty sure it's Phyllostachys Desktopwallpaper

However it bears some resemblance to Henon in my humble opinion, though the shoots look a bit darker in color so IDK. Edit nope the shoot structure is also different.

On second thought, I think I'll leave this to the experts. Sorry if i'm not much help.
PS: That really is a neat picture. Did you take that yourself?...where?

:) I didn't took this picture, it's from Japan. It looks spot on like henon, but shoots are brighter, and redish, and because the fact shoots are visible, and pic has big resolution, some might determine real species.

It's moso. Just watched video about Arashiyama forest, and saw this frame in there. Mystery solved...

I just wanted to say it's perhaps Moso. Nice distance between the culms, white velvety culms and dark shoots. There are not many groves that offer some undergrowth, the ones that do are usually Moso.

my little edulis Gold Stripe has not shot anything big enough where i have seen a good shoot of a edulis ,but the shoots in the pic look close to bambusoides or vivax to me. its hard to see the leaf size
