Asian lemon or Sunburst?
I bought this bamboo a few years ago for my brother and cant remember if it was Bambusa eutuldoides'Viridivittata' -Asian lemon or Bambusa pervariabilis 'Viridistriata'- Sunburst Bamboo. Is there any way to tell them apart?

Greetings, I've had both for only a bit over a year so don't put much stake in what I say, but to my eye the Etuldoides seems to have longer branches and less congestion at the nodes, it seems generally beefier, and it seems to have less green striping.

Thank you. based on that I would say its a sunburst. i know the culms tend to be bigger on sunburst so i will find out in a few years when my division maturesneedmore wrote:Greetings, I've had both for only a bit over a year so don't put much stake in what I say, but to my eye the Etuldoides seems to have longer branches and less congestion at the nodes, it seems generally beefier, and it seems to have less green striping.

B. Parvariabilis Viridi Striata, aka Sunburst. The smaller leaves are a dead giveaway
