Anybody here get hit by the east coast snowstorm?

Post by Alan_L »

Just wondering if anybody on the forum got hit, and how bad (or "good" if you like deep snows).

I got about 9" at my house. Not enough if you ask me. I like the snow especially on a busy weekend as all the activities are canceled and I get to stay at home and enjoy the snow. Some ares around me got 14" but we did not get much wind and it was about 25 deg for a low.

I've had a foot of snow earlier this month, -12F already this month, now a layer of ice on everything, and suppose to have another foot of snow by the time Saturday arrives.

Wait until it starts to melt and the bamboo begins throwing chunks of ice as it whips back upright.

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.

Haven't had any snow yet, but sure have had the rain. They just said this is the wettest year on record. Just glad its not that cold here. We usually get the ice.

I know, that's why I never actually showed the topless pine pic, just showed what it threw on the ground.

I can't decide if a topless pine would get a non-family rating for nudity... or violence.

Those pictures actually cause me physical pain. We had a three day extra-cold snap, and stuff's damaged all over the place. But not that bad. Ouch.

good thing we don't have any close to the pathways.

kind of hard to tell, but I just assume by the time March comes around it'll all be dead above the ground. Keep expectations low works the best.

my young princeton elm looks to be doing fine still, though you never know what you'll see.

So much water that the road to town was closed for a couple of days. Never had it to flood that much in the 30 years I've been here. Phone lines went down while I was trying to post this picture. Had right at 10 inches of rain. Glad it wasn't cold then, had a dusting of snow the morning the sun finally came out.

None of my bamboo was flooded. But the ground sure was wet. Couldn't get out to check on a the groves that I know of.
