Looking for cold hardy bamboo

Post by James »

Hello,

I live in Halifax Nova Scotia Canada. I am looking for new bamboo species to add to my collection. So far I have P. Harbin Inversa, P. Atrovaginata, F. Rufa, F. Murielae, F Nitida, F. Denudata. All have been in the ground and are prospering after 2 years. I am looking for both runners and clumpers. I have space, sun, shade etc... I am open to both seed and live plant material. Root hardiness is more important to me than the ability to stay evergreen during the winter. I am open to experimentation. All the best,

James

I have a couple of plants that may may work for you but not sure how to get over the border without being arrested for helping immigrants. Let me know how I can get then to you. RGds

I also live in Halifax and am interested in getting cold hardy bamboo. Can you sell me some of what you have, please?
