I figure downtown Staunton Illinois is about 187 miles from Brad's place. Of course driving distance is longer.
Southern Indiana.
My Bamboo List.

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.

Hello Needmore and foxd,
Thank you for your response!!!
My father 72 has a Japanese garden with koi fish ponds and more species of plants than Bush Gardens. He asked me to come dig some bamboo that had jumped the barriers he installed. Not sure what species of Bamboo he has 1" canes about 15-20 feet tall 7+years still green in the dead of winter.???
Anyway,.. my dad mentioned that he wanted to find some Black bamboo.
Dad has a nice greenhouse so, if potted he could put it inside for the winter.
Not sure how cold hardy p. nigra may be but I would love to suprise him with a few specimens. 185 miles would be about to indianapolis that is doable if I was going that way anyway.

Please contact me with directions needmore.
I will try to plan a trip your way.

I will post some photos of my fathers yard as I think the members here would enjoy them...
