Branch cutting success. Weird that it is shooting in spring though.

Re: Starts from Seed

Thanks for the advice. I'm guess I'm just going to have to be patient.

Re: Rescued Specimens

Unfortunately both have been removed. There were only rhizomes left of the 2nd pic and just a few shoots of the 1st before before they removed the rest of the years shoots. I do have another pot of the 1st pic that isn't shooting but a cane survived.

Re: Starts from Seed

Do you think more hours of shaded light is more effective at producing plant mass than fewer hours of direct light with shade the rest of the day? I wouldn't mind putting up shade cloth but unless it will create more growth I am inclined to keep them as is.

Rescued Specimens

I rescued this from a local government property where it was being removed any guesses(1st pic)? The second pic is another rescue from a different location?

Starts from Seed

In the foreground there is P. Pubensces seedling and in back is a D. Strictus seedling. I currently have them in a location where they receive sunlight from sunrise to 11:30 am. I also have a B. Lako seedling the same size as the D. Strictus. When can I move these specimens to full sun conditions?

Re: Starts from Seed

So be careful not to overwater!!! I wanna use a mix of 1 part sand, 1 miracle grow potting soil/ 1 part local clay soil. I think that should take care of the drainage. Thanks for the info.
