My Moso looks bad but is shooting "normally" but without any size-up and many smaller than normal shoots.

The dead canes are still very firmly rooted in the soil. I tugged on a few with quite a bit of force and they did not budge. No other evidence of voles either.

Zone 8 Moso smackdown
Anyone else in zone 8 growing moso have problems this year? My moso has never looked as bad coming out of winter than this year. Had about 50 percent leaf loss and 20 percent culm loss. lowest temps were 18 deg F I think it may have been periods warmer wetter days followed by a few days at 20 deg lo...
