[edit] The last explanation I may have is that this is not bicolor but rather nabeshimana - that form does also produce green culms with only a few yellow stripes here and there and culms that look like bicolor (which would explain the confusion) Thank you very much Nicholas, to throw a spanner in ...

Moso colour culms and upsize

I bought this Phyllostachys edulis a few years back as edulis bicolour but I was convinced it was standard green edulis but now I am getting culms coming up 10x the size of the plant with yellow culms what’s your thoughts please

I am interested in adding Phyllostachys sp tip top to my collection but can’t find much about it apart from this “Still to be identified (probably P. hispida or P. varioriculata). Moderately running. Delicate and very dense foliage. It is the densest of the genus Phyllostachys.” Anyone of you good p...
