Found these pictures from early summer, my daughter and her friend were making "fairy boats." The sails are P vivax culm sheathes. The milk crate shows the scale, also has solar "fountain" made of brass nozzle. Solar panel was shaded at the time and the pond was low. Pond is fed by gutter drainage system, it was a dry one this year.

A real "butterfly weed", I know its laten name when I have to. A bright red sport on threadleaf maple. It wilted a month after it showed up.
