Could be anything. It seems thirsty.

Possibly something like
https://urbanpalms.com/product/xl-malay ... ucophylla/
... Or even just Pleioblastus.

The Malay is a possibility, one of the Pleioblastus makes the most sense but the long thin leaves seem off for all but the Simonii and then what is the Himalaya reference unless it is just more bad info that passed along with the plant.

I guess another possibility is that it is not a true bamboo? The long thin leaves are a bit unusual, Jason I think I gave you one that looked like this a bit?

looks rather like a thirsty fortunei to me - and that is native to Japan of course, no Pleioblastus growing naturally in the Himalayas!

I suspect the narrow-looking leaves have just curled up, as there are others that are much broader

to identify these Pleioblastus to species you really need to see the hairs and ligules

just wish I could grow fortunei to look so nice here, 'Tsuboi' is much happier in my climate, but not so dramatic
