General bamboo question

Hi,
I'm new to this forum and have a "bamboo" question which must be easy to answer for the specialists.
I'm looking for a non-invasive bamboo variety up to 4 meters. I want to use it as a separation with the garden of our neighbours.
But there is a problem...at some places I have only a width of 50cm available for the bamboo. Therefor it should really be a "dense" bamboo.
I was thinking about fargesia robusta 'campbell' . Will that be a good choice...or could someone advise me a better variety?

Thanks in advance,
Herman

F robusta would be a generally good choice for non invasive bamboo. Expect a height of around 2-2.5 meters.

Here are a couple of downsides;

If your temps get below 10 degrees Fahrenheit, it will be killed to the ground.

The 50 CM wide area could be problematic, while it will initially grow there, new culms(shoots) will need somewhere to come up, or in a few years, the old culms will not be able to be replaced as they naturally age and die, even clumping bamboo needs some room to grow, as it will not send up new culms in its original footprint..
