Well, now that I've seen the potted shoots, I'm even more puzzled about what causes the difference in shoot color - these shoots appeared olive green with normal dark green sulcus. All of them.
I expect them to turn yellow with time, but not necessarily. I'll take a photo or two.
Did any of you, more experienced growers, also noticed drastic difference in shoot culm color? I'd guess it's weather related, anyone heard about what could cause it?
The olive green plant was shocked extremely during the winter. It was frozen solid for long periods of time, followed by warm temperatures and full sun exposure, ... that same pattern lasted during whole winter. Lowest temperatures were around -19C, highest summer temperatures around 40C. Perhaps it might even start flowering.
