Greetings,
Please help me identify the problem with my Golden Bamboo plants. The plants are in 5 gal nursery pots on the east side of the hose, protected from afternoon sun and strong winds. Planted in Kellogg Patio Plus potting soil. Trying to keep the soil moist but not soggy. Watering with tap water, I know this is not the best, but this is what I have. The plants have a mixture of all green leaves and the problematic leaves on the pictures. Fertilizing every month or so with 16-16-16 fertilizer, but in a small amount, a teaspoon per container. The plants are not root bound as I am splitting them when I see crowding.

What do you mean by splitting them?

Sunburn can be similar, could also be overfertilization related burn. Stop fertilizing for the time being and check if the issue goes away.

Re: Problem Identification - Leaves
By splitting them I meant that when the pot becomes too crowded with culms, I pull the rootball out of the pot, cut it somewhere in the middle and plant the two halves in separate pots. Some culms die after this, but the two plants Usually establish themselves in a year or two.
Good point about over-fertilizing, I thought bamboo is a heavy feeder as it grows fast (I grew banana plants before and they needed regular feeding). I will stop fertilizing for now.

Thanks for the replies. I will stop fertilizing for now, will keep the plants away from afternoon sun and will water carefully to make sure the soil is not too wet.
