Does anyone have experience with Phyllostachys aureosulcata 'Lama Temple'? I'm curious how different it really is from the other P. aureosulcata varieties, especially its height.

It's unable to grow to full size here due to my zone 5 winters, but compared to spectabilis in the same location, I've the rough impression that 'Lama Temple' may grow 85% to 95% as tall with similar rhizome vigor and spread.

In spring, the pale yellow of 'Lama Temple' contrasts with the red blush that may form in the sun on new culms. Similarly, spectabilis may develop a red blush, but spectabilis culms have green stripes and more of a green tint in the yellow of new culms. In effect, 'Lama Temple' appears brighter.
