Hi guys,

I am new to this forum, and was hoping I could find some help here.
After a inspecting a home together with a friend I found this Bamboo in the garten. So a friend wants to become a homeowner really badly.
But I am a bit worried that this bamboo belongs to one of those aggressively growing bamboos that can spread to the neighbours garden.

I have read many articles which say that getting rid of invasive bamboos can take years.

So I was hoping you guys could help me Identify this bamboo.

The current tenant has planted the bamboos in this box as shown in the image. But I suspect there are no rhizome barriers.
As illustrated in the image, there are even multiple smaller bamboo plants growing next to the box.
I suspect the rhizomes forcefully went out of the box under the earth and grew next to it.

The tenant doesn't seem to be interested in answering our questions, because she has to move out.

Maybe I'm just overreacting, it does look quite innocent. but asking won't hurt, right? :)

It might be Arundo donax, a clumping but spreading grass.

No, not arundo. Leaves are too thin. It looks more like Miscanthus. Either way, it has clumping habit.
