Does Flickr have an "IMG" link you can use? If so, use that. For instance, it would be something like the following (with the curly brackets replaced with square brackets):

{IMG}http://the.link.to.your.image.provided.by.flickr.here{/IMG}

From the Flicker website.
The direct link to a photo file is no longer shown on the page. Per the Flickr Community Guidelines "pages on other websites that display content hosted on flickr.com must provide a link from each photo or video back to its page on Flickr." Linking directly to the photo file doesn't do this.
If you go to "Share this" and grab the bbcode you get this.

Thanks for the clarification Bill. I use Photobucket, which provides direct links for sharing. I guess my point was they all provide some link to "share" and get an IMG formatted link that you can just paste here.
